Welcome to the Library
Serving the public since 1931, the Frankford Public Library offers an array of services and programs tailored towards Delaware’s ever-growing population. The library hosts a number of programs for both adults and children. Adults can take part in our always popular monthly book club, and children will find themselves treated to reading programs, story times, craft time and much more. For more information, you can check out our monthly event calendar – it provides full details on everything the library has planned in the near future.
The library book collection is about 12,000 volumes. Our collection is growing now that we have more space. Apart from our book collection, we also provide access to countless online databases. Our collection will provide you more than novels – you can find manuals, self-help guides, encyclopedia information and other resources in the Delaware library system while accessing Frankford’s files. Full information – including how to log into your online library account – can be found in our resources section.
The Frankford Library also offers a comprehensive Spanish language program that includes a regular Spanish-speaking liaison that can answer your questions about the library, immigration, employment, medical care, citizenship and more. Also available is a Spanish Language Children’s story time and a small collection of Spanish Language book and magazines.
If there are materials you want that you don't find on our shelves, we are happy to borrow them from another library even if it is in another state. The Frankford Library is always ready to serve you – and our courteous staff is as welcoming as they come. For more information stop in or contact us today!
